Therefore, clear special requirements apply to ventilation, temperature‑humidity conditions, site foundations, safety surroundings and meteorological factors. Compliance with environmental specifications stabilizes equipment performance, extends service life and prevents fire hazards, fume‑related health risks, mechanical failures and sub‑standard construction quality, serving as preconditions for safe and standard operation.
Ventilation represents the top priority. Bitumen heating produces irritant and partly flammable fumes. Never operate the equipment in fully‑confined spaces such as basements and closed workshops. For open‑air work, guarantee smooth natural air circulation. For indoor or semi‑enclosed operation, install forced ventilation and exhaust facilities to disperse fumes rapidly and avoid accumulation. Prevent fume reflux which causes component corrosion and carbon‑deposit blockage.
Requirements for site foundations and safety surroundings must be met. Operating ground shall be solid, flat, dry and free of ponding, oil contamination and piled debris. Stable placement prevents tilting and shaking which trigger oil‑pipe leakage and tank‑body deformation. The high‑risk high‑temperature zone within a five‑meter radius around the equipment must be kept clear of combustible and corrosive materials such as timber, plastic, paint and fuel oil, and open‑flame sources shall be eliminated to remove fire risks. Reserve sufficient working and heat‑dissipation clearance and never block ventilation openings and heat‑dissipation fins.
Observe ambient‑temperature and meteorological constraints. Normal applicable ambient temperature ranges from ‑10℃ to 40℃. Extreme low or high temperatures undermine operating conditions. Under temperatures below ‑10℃, bitumen solidifies readily, pipelines and tanks risk icing‑up and clogging, energy consumption rises sharply and temperature‑control accuracy drops. Pre‑heat equipment and pipelines fully before operation in cold weather; suspend work in severe frost. In summer when ambient temperature exceeds 40℃, deploy sun‑shading and enhanced ventilation to avoid over‑exposure which causes temperature‑control failure and accelerated component ageing. Stop open‑air work in rain, fog, sand‑dust weather or gale conditions above Grade 6. Rainwater brings circuit short‑circuiting and metal corrosion; strong wind causes fume‑dispersion disorder and heavy heat loss and endangers safety and construction quality.
Control atmospheric‑medium conditions. Keep equipment away from locations with excessive dust, corrosive gas and high humidity. Heavy dust clogs heat‑dissipation assemblies, interferes with circuit connectors and distorts sensor readings. Corrosive gas and moist fog erode metal housings, cables and sealing parts and speed up ageing. In mines and chemical plants with heavy dust or corrosive vapour, apply enhanced protective measures or suspend operation. Stay clear of high‑voltage power lines and strong‑electromagnetic‑field devices to avoid signal interference and distorted temperature‑meter readings.
Auxiliary‑site conditions also matter. Equip work zones with qualified fire‑fighting tools and emergency‑protection supplies for high‑temperature‑operation risk response. Secure stable power supply and basic drainage to rule out water‑immersion risks. Clear combustible weeds and waste at temporary work sites, set‑up warning boundaries and bar unauthorized personnel and sundries from entering operating zones to realize fully safe, stable and compliant equipment operation.
