1. Preparation before operation:
Check whether the safety facilities and protective devices of the asphalt tank are intact.
Check whether the sealing performance of the asphalt tank is good, and ensure that the fire-fighting equipment is complete and in a usable state.
Clean the work area to ensure that there are no debris and flammable materials.
2. Asphalt tank charging operation:
Before operating the asphalt tank, ensure that there is no fuel and flammable materials in the asphalt tank.
Add asphalt oil to the asphalt tank according to the prescribed procedures.
During the charging process, maintain the supply of oxygen in the asphalt tank to avoid static electricity and positive oxygen, and always maintain the sealing performance of the asphalt tank.
After the charging is completed, turn off the charging equipment and check the sealing performance of the asphalt tank again.
3. Asphalt tank exhaust operation:
Before exhausting, ensure that there is no fuel and flammable materials in the asphalt tank.
Exhaust according to the prescribed procedures, and take protective measures when necessary, such as wearing personal protective equipment and using exhaust pipes.
4. Asphalt tank cleaning operation:
Before cleaning, make sure there is no fuel and flammable materials in the asphalt tank.
Carry out cleaning according to the prescribed procedures, and take protective measures when necessary, such as wearing personal protective equipment and using cleaning agents.
5. Use and inspection of storage tanks:
Before filling asphalt, the storage tank should be tested for water injection to ensure that the sedimentation stops and the abnormal situation is properly handled before it can be officially put into use.
When the storage tank is used for more than 1 year or reused across years, the heating system should be pressure tested with the tank empty. If there is a leak, it should be repaired.
6. Temperature and heating system:
Pay attention to the indication of the thermometer and pump out high-temperature asphalt in time to prevent the asphalt from aging due to excessive temperature.
Before injecting asphalt, slowly heat up the heating system of the asphalt pump and the asphalt pipeline of the input path, and confirm that the asphalt pump can be flexibly rotated by hand before starting the operation.
In addition, operators must wear appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure personal safety.
