I. Inspection before starting
1. Equipment appearance and connection: Check whether the overall appearance of the asphalt tank is damaged, such as whether the tank body has cracks or deformation, whether the connection parts (such as pipe interfaces, valves, etc.) are firm, and prevent asphalt leakage.
2. Heating system: Check whether the heating device (such as burner, electric heating element) is normal, and whether the circuit of the heating element is damaged or short-circuited. For the burner, check whether the fuel supply system is unobstructed, whether there is leakage, and whether the ventilation is good.
3. Liquid level gauge and thermometer: Ensure that the liquid level gauge can accurately display the liquid level of asphalt and the thermometer can work normally, so as to accurately control the temperature of asphalt.
4. Safety device: Check whether the safety device such as safety valve and emergency discharge valve is in normal state, and ensure that it can be opened normally in case of abnormal pressure or other emergency situations.
II. Operation process operation
1. Heating operation
If it is burner heating, start the burner according to the prescribed ignition procedure, pay attention to control the flame size and combustion state, and avoid local overheating. During the heating process, the heating power should be reasonably adjusted according to the heating requirements of the asphalt.
If it is an electrically heated asphalt tank, after turning on the electric heating system, pay attention to whether the current, voltage and other parameters are stable within the normal range.
2. Stirring operation (if there is a stirring device): During the asphalt heating process, if stirring is required, the stirring device should be started first, and the stirring speed should be moderate. Stirring can make the asphalt heat evenly, but too fast a speed may cause asphalt splashing and create safety hazards.
3. Safety precautions
1. Prevent burns: The temperature of asphalt is very high during the heating process. Operators should wear protective work clothes, gloves, protective shoes and other protective equipment to avoid direct contact with high-temperature asphalt.
2. Fire and explosion prevention: Since asphalt and heating fuel (such as heavy oil, natural gas, etc.) are both flammable, open flames and smoking are strictly prohibited in the operating area. Good ventilation should be maintained to prevent the accumulation of flammable gases. At the same time, sufficient fire extinguishing equipment should be equipped on site.
3. Prevent leakage: Regularly check the sealing of the asphalt tank and its ancillary equipment. If leakage is found, the heating operation should be stopped immediately and measures should be taken to repair the leakage point. Leaked asphalt should be cleaned up in time to avoid accidents such as slipping.
