1. Storage temperature

Generally speaking, the suitable temperature range of asphalt in storage tanks is about 120℃ to 140℃. Within this temperature range, asphalt can maintain good fluidity and is easy to pump and use. If the temperature is too low, the asphalt will become viscous, the fluidity will deteriorate, and it may even solidify, affecting subsequent use operations; while if the temperature is too high, it may cause asphalt aging, performance degradation, and increase energy consumption and safety risks.

2. Upper limit of heating temperature

When it is necessary to heat the asphalt in the storage tank, the heating temperature should not usually exceed 180℃. Exceeding this temperature, the asphalt may be over-aged, burnt, etc., seriously affecting its performance and quality.

It should be noted that different types of asphalt and different usage requirements may have a certain impact on the temperature range of the storage tank. At the same time, in actual operation, the temperature of the storage tank should be strictly controlled according to the specific situation to ensure the quality and safety of the asphalt.
