There are several main methods for heating Bitumen Tanks.
Fuel heating is a common approach. It generates heat by burning fuels like diesel and heavy oil, and can heat the asphalt in the tank either directly or indirectly. This method is relatively cost - effective and is suitable for applications where fuel supply is convenient.
Gas heating uses gaseous fuels such as natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas for the heating process. The heating is relatively clean and convenient, making it a good choice for areas with strict environmental protection requirements.
Electric heating works by applying electricity to heating elements to heat the asphalt. This method provides stable heating and precise temperature control, but it has relatively high energy consumption. It is mostly used for small Bitumen Tanks or in applications that require high heating precision.
Direct heating involves the flame of the burning fuel directly contacting the components containing the asphalt, resulting in rapid heat transfer. Indirect heating, on the other hand, transfers heat through an intermediate medium, preventing direct flame contact with the asphalt and reducing its degradation.
Each heating method has its own advantages. When making a choice, factors such as the application scenario, cost, and environmental requirements should be considered.
