Anionic Bitumen Emulsion, also known as anionic emulsified asphalt or cold base oil, is a road construction and waterproofing application material processed by a special process. The product is formed by mixing viscous asphalt with anionic surfactants, water and stabilizers, and then mechanically agitated and chemically stabilized to form an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion. Anionic Bitumen Emulsion appears as a black or brownish black, easy-flowing liquid mixture at room temperature, with good dispersibility, fluidity and mixing properties.

Strong dispersibility:

The asphalt particles in the anionic asphalt emulsion are dispersed into tiny and uniform particles and suspended in water. This dispersed state allows the asphalt particles to contact and bond with aggregates (such as stone, sand, etc.) more fully, improving the overall performance of the road surface.

Good fluidity:

Due to its fine and uniformly dispersed particles, the anionic asphalt emulsion exhibits a good flow state. This makes it easier for the asphalt to cover the entire work area during the paving process and quickly penetrate into every corner of the aggregate.

Excellent mixing performance:

The Anionic Bitumen Emulsion has excellent mixing performance with aggregates and can form a uniform mixture. After compaction, this mixture can form a tight structure, improving the durability and bearing capacity of the road surface.

Application areas

Road engineering:

Anionic asphalt emulsion can be used for the surface paving of new roads, renovation of old roads, crack repair and pothole filling. It can also be used as a tack coat oil, penetration oil, etc. to enhance the bonding strength between two layers of asphalt surface.

Waterproof application:

Anionic asphalt emulsion is particularly suitable for waterproofing of building structures such as bridges, tunnels, and basements. It can form a tight waterproof membrane to effectively prevent moisture from eroding the structure.
