Classification by production process
According to the process flow, emulsified asphalt equipment can be classified into three types: intermittent operation, semi-continuous operation, and continuous operation. The process flow is shown in Figure 1-1 and Figure 1-2 respectively. As shown in Figure 1-1, the intermittent modified emulsified asphalt production equipment mixes the emulsifier, acid, water, and latex modifier in the soap solution mixing tank during production, and then pumps it into the colloid mill with asphalt. After a tank of soap solution is used up, the soap solution is re-configured, and then the next tank is produced. When used for modified emulsified asphalt production, depending on the modification process, the latex pipeline can be connected either before or after the colloid mill, or there is no dedicated latex pipeline, but the specified dose of latex is manually added to the soap solution tank.
In the continuous emulsified asphalt production equipment, the emulsifier, water, acid, latex modifier, asphalt, etc. are directly pumped into the colloid mill with a metering pump. The mixing of soap solution is completed in the conveying pipeline.
Classification by equipment configuration
According to the equipment configuration, layout and mobility, asphalt emulsification equipment can be divided into three types: mobile, portable and fixed.
a. Mobile emulsified asphalt equipment is to fix the emulsifier mixing device, emulsifier, asphalt pump, control system, etc. on a special support chassis. Since the production location can be moved at any time, it is suitable for the preparation of emulsified asphalt at construction sites with dispersed projects, small amounts and frequent movements.
b. Portable emulsified asphalt equipment is to install each main assembly in one or more standard containers, load and transport them separately to achieve site transfer, and rely on lifting equipment to quickly install and combine into a working state. The production capacity of such equipment has different configurations of large, medium and small. It can meet different engineering requirements.
c. Fixed emulsified asphalt equipment generally relies on asphalt plants or asphalt concrete mixing plants and other places with asphalt storage tanks to serve a relatively fixed customer group within a certain distance. As it is suitable for my country's national conditions, fixed emulsified asphalt equipment is the main type of emulsified asphalt equipment in China.
